Commission a Portrait

Framed portrait of a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a Heinz 57

A COLLBORATIVE CONVERSATION

Each completed commission consists of up to 3 separate portraits combined into one single distinctive art piece, designed specifically to take pride of place on the wall in your cherished home for many years to come.

Each of my portraits are created directly from high definition photographs that I take during a short initial sitting with my subject. They’re not hand drawn or painted copies of the images, or an artistic interpretation, rather the actual photographs themselves meticulously refined into a one-off hyper detailed composite portrait using an organically developed artistic process. As such each of my completely portraits are 100% accurate, meaning that every single hair and treasured physical characteristic of your best friend are visible and celebrated in unequaled detail in your completed art piece.

YOU

I know that your horse or dog is a true one off, an irreplaceable member of your family, and your best friend.

The love you share is real and the time you spend together is precious. If you’re here it’s clear that, being devoted to them, you want to celebrate your extraordinary best friend and the happy memories you’ve created together, with a sense of occasion and with a specialist artist you can trust.

Each of my portraits is an original piece of distinctive and lasting portrait art that forever immortalises and truly celebrates the unfading love you have for your adored companion. Perfect for those who want an innovative and refined celebration of their best friend that they can treasure for many years to come, skilfully crafted with the meticulous love and the care that they deserve by a friendly, experienced artist who understands their needs.

CAPTURING THE ESSENCE

To obtain the high definition photographs that I’ll use to create each commission I take my camera to my subject and now shoot in natural light in an outdoors environment, be it at a private residence or livery yard etc., as home territory is often where they feel at their happiest and most relaxed.

Absolutely fantastic pictures. Greg has perfectly captured our 6 greyhounds and made them all look beautiful.

…Upon returning to my studio I’ll put together a range of composite portrait mockups using your favourite images from the initial sitting and then email them to you to consider. You’ll review them and we’ll use them to decide upon the final composition of your portrait. As each portrait is crafted directly from the actual photographs taken during the initial photographic sitting with the subject you’ll know exactly how your portrait will look before it’s completed.

I’ll then use refined and carefully considered techniques to celebrate the reality and individual personality of my subject, meticulously crafting the original photographs into completely unique pieces of portrait wall art.

A painterly collage style that directly combines up to 3 individual highly detailed images of your horse and / or hound at their best into a single and visually striking piece of expressive composite art, each original portrait takes approximately 40 working hours to complete.

FROM VISION TO REALITY

Once completed, your portrait is presented as a gallery standard and fully archival framed Giclee print. Each piece is carefully printed onto the highest quality Hahnemuhle fine art paper using fade resistant inks by a dedicated team of skilled gallery standard professional printers fully experienced in the preparation, presentation and conservation of fine art prints.

Your print is then mounted into a bespoke frame, each of which is designed to perfectly compliment your portrait and handmade with love specifically to order by fully experienced family-run professional framers using premium materials that guarantee lasting quality.

Supplied ready to hang in your living space, your fully archival framed portrait combines beautiful design and lovingly crafted materials with refined artistic methods and an unparalleled eye for detail. Your elegant art piece will look as good on your wall in a lifetime as it does today, becoming a precious family heirloom that allows you to treasure and enjoy the priceless memories of your best friend both now, and for years to come.
